Dramatics –[drama-music]also finds a special place in Sampradaya.

Drama has been a very popular art form of Tamilnadu. In fact the language is known for its three forms Iyal  Isai and Natakam[prose, poetry and drama] During the late 19th and early 20th century the field of Tamil Drama was influenced by many changes which brought a new look to stage drama. Drama music was at its best during this time with composers like Sankaradas Swamigal, Udumalai Muthuswami Kavirayar etc. This century nurtured a genre of music that was as vibrant as it was rich in variety. This music drew upon various traditions of music—Carnatic, Folk, Hindustani and also Western Music Drama Music influenced film music and also to some extent Carnatic Music.

Sampradaya documented two such dramas of Sri Shankaradas SwamigalPavazhakodi and Bhaktha Prahlada. Besides these two dramas, Gopalkrishna Bharathi’s  immortal  ‘Nandanar Charitram’  songs and songs from a number of other popular plays sung by popular artists of those days were also documented.
