Samvada
Samvada will be an open for all discussion platform that began on August 28th at the Music Academy and will allow the audience to get up close and personal with a senior artiste who will share his /her musical process with someone who is well versed with the arts.
Samvada began its journey with Sangita Kalanidhi Sri R.K.Srikantan [ninety year old Maestro Vocalist]n in conversation with Sangit Samrat Chitravina N.Ravikiran. The second in the series was Sangita Kalanidhi SrI.T.K.Murthy[88 year old Mridangam maestro] in conversation with Sri Palghat T.R.Rajamani, son of the Mridangam legend Sri Palghat Mani Iyer.
On Oct 23rd   the music fraternity will witness Vainika Vidwan-Smt Kalpagam Swaminathan the 87 year old Vina artist in conversation with Smt Suguna Varadachari at Music Acdemy .
November 27th Samvada features Violin Maestro Sri M.S.Gopalakrishnan in conversation with Sri Sriram Parasuram

Workshops
Dr.S.R.Janakiram eminent musicologist, vocalist and Guru will be conducting a special course on Sri Muthuswamy Dhikshitar’s Eka-eka –Ragam. He will be teaching performing artists and music teachers seven rare compositions of Sri Muthuswamy Dhikshitar set in very rare raga-s. So rare that there is only one such composition set in these raga-s. The course will commence on the 26th of October and go till 6th of November and there will be a presentation function where the students of the special course will perform followed by lecture –demonstration by Dr.S.R.Janakiram.
