Dear all,

Although Sampradaya's achievements have been significant, Sampradaya has many miles to go and many dreams to realize -- such as upgrading its infrastructure. The archival material, presently stored in spools and cassettes, needs to be digitized and stored in compact discs. More urgent is Sampradaya's need for more spacious premises. At present, it is housed in a small rented apartment in Mylapore, and the space constraint is a major obstacle in the way of Sampradaya's ambitions for growth.

But most critical of all is the need to build a corpus fund to enable Sampradaya to continue the work it has been doing. A corpus of Rupees One Crore is only a realistic target for Sampradaya to continue at its present level of functioning. So far, its activities have been supported mostly by grants from the Ford Foundation, supplemented occasionally by corporate donations.

It need hardly be stressed that Sampradaya is fulfilling a very important cultural need. This is an appeal to enlightened leaders of business and industry like yourself to support the cause of Sampradaya . All donations to Sampradaya are eligible for deduction under section 80.G of the Income Tax Act. The cheque/DD may be made in favour of ‘Sampradaya'.
